We advise you to always use Wallaboo baby products and all other baby products in the correct way. Only use Wallaboo products for what they are made for. Our products have a long lifespan, and they should be tested on safety every time you use them. Remember that baby products are no substitute for parental supervision. Always have a close eye on your baby.

What should I do with a complaint about a Wallaboo product?

If you are not happy with your Wallaboo product, because of malfunctioning or disappointing use please send us an email or give us a call.

What type of material is Wallaboo suede or microfiber suede?

Wallaboo suede or so called microfiber suede has the flook and feel of real (animal) suede, but is made of strong 100% polyester. Wallaboo suede = flame resistant, safe for nibbling, great for going out, easy washable, very soft and cuddly, stain proof and practical.

Do the Wallaboo products comply to the safety regulations?

All products are tested according to the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 using the criteria stated in: CEN/TR 13387: 2005 Child Use and Care Articles. All fabrics, zippers, pullers, buttons and labels are tested on flamability, migration of certain elements, no AZO colourants and colourfastness. The method used is EN 71part1 ,2 and 3.

Our sleepingbags have been also tested according to the regulations of BS8510:2009 and on dimensional stability to washing parts.

The baby sling cotton and suede are is tested according to EN13209-2 2005: soft fabric baby carriers.

Only when a new product complies with all the required criteria is a product ready for introduction.

Yes, the Wallaboo infant seat cover can be machine washed. It must be laundered correctly in order to ensure longevity of the product.

Machine washable gentle 30 degrees separately. No tumble dry. Lay flat to dry. Don’t use any bleach or wash softeners.

What age suits the Wallaboo todler car seat cover group 1?

The Wallaboo infant seat cover group 1 suits children from 9 months to ± 3.5 year (9-18 kilo).

 

What age the Wallaboo infant seat cover 0+ suits?

The Wallaboo infant seat cover 0+ is suitable for children from 0 to ± 12 months (0-13 kilo) or as long as your baby fits into an infant carrier of group 0+.

 

How do I attach the infant seat cover?

  • Fit the Wallaboo infant seat cover over the original car seat. The elastic band enables you to easily fit the cover over the car seat. This also guarantees a good fit.
  • Pull the belts of the car seat through the openings of the Wallaboo cover. For the shoulder belts, select the height that suits your baby.

To select the correct height for the shoulder belts consult the instruction manual of your infant seat

Can I use the Wallaboo Footmuff newborn with an infant car seat?

Yes, the Wallaboo conveniently and securely fits into 3 & 5 point harness systems of a infant car seat through reinforced openings at the back of the footmuff. Car seats from group 0+ (weight class: 0 to 13kilo (22lbs).

Pls note the Wallaboo footmuff newborn only doesn’t fit for a 5 point harness which the side and shoulder straps can’t be detached from each other.

How do I attach a Wallaboo footmuff newborn in an infant car seat?

  • Place the Wallaboo footmuff flat in the infant carseat and make sure the top of the footmuff is evenly with the top of the infant car seat.
  • Unzip sides and pull down the footmuff.
  • Pull safety straps through slots. For 3-pointsystem use top slot. choose the slot which is good for the size of your child.
  • Pull the bottom buckle through the bottom slot.
  • Place child in the wallaboo footmuff newborn and close the harness.
  • Zip up and you are ready to go

How do I clean a Wallaboo changing bag?

The Wallaboo changing bag can be wiped clean carefully with mild soapy water on a damp cloth. Clean the internal lining of any milk spills after each use. Do not immerse the Wallaboo bag in water.
Do not wash the Wallaboo bag in the washing machine. Air dry only

How to use the single-use thermometer?

For use under tongue or in armpit.
Easy to read result, the last dot to turn black indicates the correct temperature.
Oral use: Place Thermometer under tongue as far back as possible and then colse mouth. Wait 60 seconds. Read temperature, indicated by last black dot. Discard.

Auxiliary use: Place thermometer under arm for 3 minutes, Read temperature, indicated by last black dot. Discard.

How to use the instant ice pack?

No freezing is required, simply squeeze the inner sachet to activate, shake vigorously until ice cold and it is ready to use as a cold compress to reduce pain and swelling. Do not place directly on skin. Cover pack before use.

How to use the emergency foil blanket?

Provids protection for your baby against the cold or heat.
The face must be left uncovered.
Protection against the cold: Silver side towards the body. Aluminium metallized side reflects approx. 80 % of body heat. Rapid loss in temperature and frostbite are prevented.
Protection against heat: Silver side up. Sunbeams are reflected and car, body and tent are kept cool.

How to use Saline wound/eye wash?

Use this to wash irritants out of the eye, or to disinfect wounds before applying dressings.
Also to clear stuffy noses.
It contains Sodium Chloride buffer solution which restores the eye to its natural pH.
You can also use this sterile water to clean the pacifier!
Once the pod has been opened, it should not be kept for re-use.

How to use burn/wound lint pads?

The pads can be used to treat cuts, grazes and minor burns. These dressings have a shiny film side to prevent the pad sticking to the wound with surrounding adhesive to secure the pad to the wounded area.

How to use conforming bandage?

High stretch, lightweight bandage for holding dressings in place.
Conforms easily to all areas of the baby’s body, including joints.

How to use alcohol free wipes?

Can be used to clean and sooth cuts and grazes. Cleans skin to ensure greater adhesion of dressings. Alcohol free, so does not sting on the sensitive baby skin!
Also handy when you don’t have any baby wipes by hand while changing the diaper!

What about expiry dates?

All items in your kit and refill items have expiry dates clearly marked on them.
Don't forget to check the items in your kit every few months to make sure nothing has expired. Each item in your kit should have plenty of time before it expires.
Should you however receive your kit with any expired items whether from this site or from a retailer, please let us know so that we can arrange to replace them.

Can I take my kit in my hand luggage when I fly?

What to do in case of an emergency with a baby?

Babies need different First aid than older children (>1 yr.). The practical guide in our Baby First Aid kit explains in small steps which action is needed to give adequate help to a baby.

Do you offer hypo-allergenic products?

All the adhesive first aid items in our kits are hypoallergenic. This includes plasters, dressings and tape. Also the wipes are sting free, the dressings non-adherent and tweezers are plastic. So all comfortable to use for a baby!

Can I use the Baby First Aid kits for my baby from birth?

Yes, the content of the kit is 100% safe for baby. All items are specially selected for babies. But also useable for a toddler or older child.

How do I remove my baby from the baby sling?

1. Open the front opening, left side first
2. Put one arm underneath your baby and support her weight in your arm
3. Using your free arm, open the baby sling away from your body
4. Lift your baby from the baby sling and hold your baby close to you
5. Hold your baby securely at all times

In what position can I carry my baby in the sling?

Your baby can be worn in different positions in the baby sling:

Sleeping position (0-4 months) = your baby is on her back in a "banana” position. The sling supports the head and back of your newborn and the legs are comfortably held together.

Seat position: (4-9 months) = Once the spine of the baby is stronger, your baby can sit in the kangaroo carry position The baby’s feet are up and crossed in front  and he or she she is looking out.

Active position (6 months and up) = If the back is strong enough, your child can sit in the hipster position. Her bottom is in the sling, her legs are out on both sides of your hip. The Wallaboo sling has a thickened portion on the exact spot where her legs touch the sling, giving her a nice and soft feeling.

Can I use the baby sling while using a bicycle?

No, we advise you not to use the baby sling while cycling.

Can I use the baby sling in the car?

No, the baby sling is not a substitute for a car seat in a moving vehicle.

Can I wash the baby sling?

The baby sling can be washed in the washing machine at 30 ° with similar colours.

How do I adjust the sling for my growing baby?

At the back of the sling, the sling can be adjusted with Velcro. As your baby grows, you can make the sling a little wider by adjusting the Velcro.

What is the purpose of the 4 numbers on the back?

The back of the baby sling has 4 pieces of Velcro making it easier to adjust to fit any wearer. As an aid to tailoring the baby sling to size, the Velcro attachments are numbered 1 to 4 . Remember the number that corresponds to your size and choose the same one next time you use the sling.

How do I know if the baby sling is adjusted correctly?

When your baby is in the sling, he or she should be against your chest, and not your waist. If the sling is lower than your chest, it is incorrectly fitted and you should use the Velcro to make the sling a little smaller. The sling should fit snugly but not too tightly.  If you feel uncomfortable then the sling is too tight, and you should make the sling a little larger by adjusting the Velcro  attachments until it feels comfortable.

Are there different sizes of Wallaboo baby sling?

The Wallaboo baby sling is based on the principle  'one size fits all'. The 4 Velcro attachments on the back make it simple and safe to adjust to fit the wearer.

Do I need help putting my baby in a baby sling?

The baby sling is designed so that you can use it on your own without outside help. We advise you to have help at hand  when you first use  the sling until you are familiar with it.

For how long can I carry my baby in a baby sling?

You can carry your baby in the baby sling as long as he or she is happy. However it is not recommended for babies to sit in the same position without moving for a long period of time. We advise you to always be aware of your child needs. And to wear the sling so that you can always see your baby.

What is the difference between the baby sling cotton and baby sling suede?

The sling cotton is made out of 100% soft cotton inside and outside. The sling suede is made of microfiber suede outside and 100% cotton terry inside. They are both very comfortable for you and your baby. Which one to choose is just about which fabric look you like mostly.

From and until what age can I use the sling?

You can use the sling from birth, for mature, healthy babies who are  at least 2 kg (4lbs)  in weight, For babies under the care of a pediatrician, we recommend seeking advice before using.

You can use the sling to a maximum weight of 13 kg/28lbs or as long as it is comfortable for you and your child.

What are the benefits of baby wearing in the Wallaboo sling?

Is the Wallaboo baby sling a safe product?

Yes, the Wallaboo sling is safe if you follow the safety guidelines and instruction which are in the manual. This manual is packed with every baby sling or you can download the manual on the site.

The Wallaboo baby sling is tested according to EU Safety Standard EN13209-2. This endurance test  simulates a person wearing a baby sling. The sling is moved back and forth 50,000 times with a weight of 15 kilos in it. The closures and seams after this test may not be moved or changed. The Wallaboo sling had an excellent score on this test.

All Wallaboo fabrics are tested and approved according to European guidelines for baby products, the class with the highest standards. All materials are free of pollutants and allergens.

Tests performed are: no Azo Colorants, Flammability test, Colourfastness, Migration of certain elements antimony, arsenic, lead, etc (EN 74 : 1994).
